Victor Ofoegbu is a dynamic young man who believes in innovation. An entrepreneur by heart, and avid
public speaker. He draws inspiration from everybody around him irrespective of where they come from. Just
like every other individual, Victor has had a couple of worst moments some of which includes having an F9
in further mathematics, waking up from hospital bed and being told he’s being unconscious for three days as
a result of cerebral malaria, Nearly drowned on three different occasions at the beach, and surviving a head
on collision in a tro-tro an incident which claimed a life. And so
there were some few interesting times. As a
student entrepreneur, in 2012 he was part of a team that came first
place at Startup Weekend – an annual global entrepreneurial event
held in various cities to encourage
student entrepreneurship development. In January 2013 he was also
part of a team of student entrepreneurs who came second place at
MEST48: an annual event organized by the Melt
water entrepreneurial school of technology in Accra Ghana.
In 2011, he joined the Open University of West Africa (OUWA)
and proceeded to being instrumental at helping establish a campus
in Osu, Accra Ghana. He currently serves as the Student
Community Manager at the Open University of West Africa; some
of his daily responsibilities include daily interactions with OUWA
students in order to help design effective systems that improve the
learning environment at OUWA. Some of the fun activities he enjoys include travelling, rock climbing
Judo, biking, and networking. Also a geo-politics fellow!
